We’re thrilled to share an exciting milestone!
Over the weekend, Gloves for Africa had the honor of attending the EPW Debut hosted by none other than the iconic British luxury fashion house, Burberry.
Our founder, Chuks Uwaechia, was privileged to witness the launch of a powerful initiative led by Esther through the Empowering Young Women (EYW) program. This initiative is dedicated to uplifting young women across Africa, providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive.
Burberry’s decision to host the event at their flagship store at No. 1 Sloane Street, London, reflects the growing influence of purpose-driven missions. It was a beautiful evening filled with energy, connection, and inspiration, featuring an exclusive fashion show showcasing Burberry’s latest collection.
One of the highlights was Esther’s speech, where she articulated her bold vision for how corporate responsibility can drive meaningful change. Her words were a powerful reminder that collaborations between brands and non-profits can have a tangible impact on communities.
Expanding Our Mission to Kenya 🌍
The event was also an incredible opportunity to strengthen the partnership between EYW and Gloves for Africa. We’re excited to announce that through this collaboration, we will officially launch our mission in Kenya!
Our goal? To empower young women in underrepresented communities by equipping them with the resources, skills, and opportunities needed for sustainable development.
We’re grateful to be part of this movement, where fashion meets purpose, and we look forward to what lies ahead!
Thank you to Burberry, Esther, and everyone who continues to support this journey toward a better future.
