Gloves for Africa, powered by the Gloves for Positive Change Foundation, is a project committed to empowering young people in underserved communities across Africa. Through the sport of boxing, we connect with youth in difficult environments, offering them a safe and positive way to channel their energy, stay off the streets, and pursue their dreams.
Through our boxing programs, we aim to instill discipline, hope, and resilience, empowering young people to overcome adversity and inspiring them to become champions—not just in the ring, but in life. Our mission extends beyond the sport itself; we are focused on transforming lives, building confidence, and shaping role models who can make a lasting impact within their communities.
In addition to boxing, we offer educational support and community outreach initiatives to ensure that these young individuals are equipped with the tools, resources, and mindset they need to create brighter futures. At Gloves for Positive Change Foundation, we believe in the power of sports and education to drive community development, foster youth engagement, and unlock opportunities for lasting, positive change.

Imagine a world where a pair of boxing gloves unlocks empowerment and transformation. Through Gloves for Africa, we’re working to turn this vision into reality in displaced communities across Africa.
We believe everyone deserves the chance to reach their potential and discover their inner champion.
With your generous support, we can provide essential boxing equipment like gloves, hand wraps, and punching bags. These tools may seem simple, but they carry the power to build discipline, self-confidence, and resilience, transforming lives one punch at a time.
Against all odds, through pain, exhaustion, and every imaginable challenge, Damilare Arowolo has completed 60 relentless hours on the punching bag , achieving what many thought impossible.
This isn’t just a personal victory. It’s a bold statement to the world: Resilience wins. Purpose prevails. Dreams are valid.
From a challenged community to a world stage, Damilare has shown us that greatness is born in the fire of perseverance.
He set out to break the Guinness World Records and in the process, inspired a generation.
Let this be a reminder: No matter where you start, it’s how far you’re willing to go that defines your legacy.
Thank you to everyone who supported, cheered, and believed.
Indeed , impossible does not exist
According to expert reports in Nigeria, 54% of drug addicts in the country are adolescents, 18 years and below. Let that sink in.
More than half of those battling addiction are kids… children who should be in school, discovering their talents, building dreams, not fighting for their lives.
Every day, young boys and girls, especially those in challenged communities, are exposed to substances like codeine, tramadol, loud, crack, and other dangerous drugs, often introduced by older peers or street influences.
In places where poverty is loud and hope is silent, the streets become a trap… and many fall into the grip of The Big D – Drugs.
Something unforgettable happened at Molete, Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria
As we joined Ganiyu Oladayo in bringing boxing to the streets to raise awareness against drug abuse, we noticed a young boy, under the bridge, hawking, watching, listening… and refusing to leave.
He stood there from beginning to end.
Every speech. Every demonstration. Every moment of hope is shared.
When our African Coordinator finished speaking, this young boy quietly walked up and said:
“Sir… one day, I will be a champion.”
We spoke with him. And in that moment, the truth hit us:
Behind every struggling child on the streets… there is a dream waiting to be heard.

History in the making! Damilare Arowolo (@iamuglywolf) just completed an incredible 5-hour, 1-minute punching bag session—without a single break!
This endurance feat is a stepping stone toward his ultimate goal: breaking the Guinness World Records for the LONGEST MARATHON PUNCHING A PUNCH BAG (currently 55 hours).
In April, he aims to set a new record of 60 hours—a true test of strength, resilience, and determination.
But this challenge is about more than just records. Damilare is on a mission to inspire young individuals from challenged communities, proving that with passion, persistence, and purpose, anything is possible.
